Whether you’re updating old furniture, building your dream home or merely making home improvements a visit to Hawke’s Bay Furniture will definitely be worth your while.
Formerly Treachers Manufacturing, Hawke’s Bay Furniture specialises in building and restoring everything from traditional Queen Anne and Mahogany furniture to modern and contemporary pieces right through to creating the kitchen and bathroom of people’s dreams.
Owners Andrew Dodd and Jenni Jones take pride in the fact that every product that comes out of their factory has been lovingly hand-crafted by a team that is passionate about top quality furniture and joinery.
“This enables customers more freedom of choice because everything is done on site. Here the traditional way of furniture making still remains.” says Andrew. “We also design and build in-built paint-lacquered or timber furniture for the new home, wardrobe units and side boards, entertainment units.”
However if your favourite piece of furniture doesn’t match your homes new décor and you just can’t part with it – you needn’t have to!
“We do a lot of recovering and re-upholstering. In fact, a lot of the time we encourage people to re-upholster their lounge suites if they are undecided. If it needs revamping, we do that too by changing the shapes of the arms or legs, raising or lowering, anything really. We can colour up furniture to fit nicely with new décor.”
Hawke’s Bay Furniture has become renowned for building quality large joinery, such as kitchens, bathrooms, laundry units, stairways and shop fit-outs and their excellence in craftsmanship was confirmed at the regional Master Builders House of the Year Awards 2007. Andrew’s team won the people’s choice ‘Bathroom of the Year’ award and built the joinery in a home that won a SILVER award.
All Furniture is made on-site with turn-around between 4-6 weeks from confirmation of order.
